This is our first release of reserve Pinot Noir sourced entirely from our Vista Montone estates located in the rolling hillsides east of the San Pablo Bay at the southern tip of Napa County. This 120-acre marine-influenced property is subject to the cooling breezes and fog similar to the Carneros region which lies just to the west.
WINEMAKINGThe 100% free run juice was gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 75 degrees Fahrenheit. The wine underwent a secondary 100% malolactic fermentation.
WINEMAKER NOTESPlush and layered, black cherry cola nose accented with spice. Rich flavors of plum and black cherry supported by a fine structure of acidity and well-integrated tannins.
